EPSOM SALTS BATH

(Ingredients: Magnesium Sulphate)

The salts are absorbed through the skin and act as a mild muscle relaxant, thereby enhancing and lengthening the effects of your massage. The heat aids the salts in penetrating the deeper muscle layers and helps prevent soreness the next day.

This bath is very stimulating, therefore people who have serious circulatory problems (ie. high blood pressure and severe varicose veins) should not take it. It is also not recommended for those allergic to sulfates.

Add 2 – 4 cups of Epsom Salts to hot bath water (38 – 44 degrees C) Soak for approximately 15 – 20 minutes. While in the bath, drink several glasses of fresh water to replace lost fluids. When finished, get up very carefully and cool your body down with either a cool shower or a cold cloth. Then just relax!

HELPFUL TIP:

You can really take advantage of your warm muscles by doing a few stretches after you emerge from the tub. The heat really helps to loosen areas of tension and a gentle stretch will help maintain the level of relaxation you’ve strived to achieve.

Just take it slow and always remember to breathe!!
