PREPARING FOR YOUR FIRST VISIT

You will receive my online intake form after you make your first appointment (if you don’t, please let me know and I’ll re-send it). You may also choose to arrive 5-10 minutes early in order to fill out my health history form before your session or click on the link to download it and bring it with you.  I also ask that you bring a list of any current medications as well as the results of any imaging relating to your condition, if you have them.  

If possible, refrain from taking pain killers before your appointment time.   This is because you need to be able to accurately assess whether the massage is causing harm and pain medication will dull your senses and prevent that.  

Try and plan for an easy to moderately active day after your session. Think of your massage as just having a workout but I’ve done the work! Depending on what we do, your body may need time to recover before being challenged again in a big way so be mindful of what you schedule in the 24-48 hours afterwards. This is even more important if you haven’t had a massage in a long time.

Lastly, if you’re about to run a marathon or something else strenuous, I need to know about it so I can adjust your session accordingly.

APPOINTMENT TIMES

If you’re very early for your appointment (more than 10 minutes) I ask that you wait outside or walk around the neighbourhood before coming into the clinic. Although I have a spacious waiting area, I need time to air out and disinfect the clinic due to pandemic and I’m doing all I can to minimize contact between patients. Please note that the time you have booked is the entire length of your appointment, not the hands-on time. During your first appointment we will review your health history, complete any additional forms and do a brief assessment before starting treatment which usually takes approximately 20 minutes. I always do my best to maximize hands-on time but it’s rarely the entire length of the appointment booked, even for subsequent sessions, so if you’d like more hands-on time (who wouldnt!) I encourage you to book a longer session.

LOCATION  

My address is 246 GARDEN AVENUE, BACK DOOR. The closest subway station is Dundas West and the 504 streetcar stops just steps from my door. There are signs outside my location to help direct you but if you get lost, please call or text at 416-560-3469 and I’ll help you find me.

PARKING

There’s 1 hour street parking right outside between 10am and 6pm. For appointments that begin earlier than 10am, please DO NOT PARK ON GARDEN OR YOU WILL GET A TICKET! Another option is to park on Fern Avenue (1 block north of Garden) from 8am. Otherwise, please park on Parkside or use the pay parking on Roncesvalles.

I accept cash, cheque, Debit, etransfer, Visa, MasterCard, AmEx, Googlepay and Applepay. An insurance receipt is always provided.

CANCELLATIONS/CHANGES

I have a strict 24 hour cancellation policy  or the full fee for that visit will be charged. I’m happy to waive my cancellation fee if you send someone in your place though.

I also require 24 hours notice for any changes to the length of your existing appointment. I’m happy to shorten your treatment if you’re late or you need to rush off but I will charge you for the length of treatment you booked.

Once you’re a client, you can directly access your account and make timely changes to your appointments by logging into my booking software here.

REFUNDS

A prepaid service that is cancelled prior to receiving it qualifies for a refund. Alternatively, a balance can be applied to your account and used for future sessions.

GIFT CERTIFICATES  

Gift certificates can be purchased online, in person or by contacting me directly. Once payment has been received, the certificate can be sent to you or directly to the recipient. No expiry. All sales final.

Please note: In cases where there is a disparity between the amount paid for a gift certificate of a specific treatment length and my current fee, I will honour the treatment length for one year from the purchase date. After that time, I will charge for a difference in fee.
