Unfortunately, once we have stretch marks we’re usually stuck with them but there are a few ways to minimize their occurance and help them fade a little faster. These include:
- VITAMIN E and COCOA BUTTER are excellent moisturizers and are most effective as a preventative measure (ie. start applying during the second trimester of pregnancy) and immediately after the marks have appeared.
- SUNBLOCK and the highest SPF you can find. Stretch marks are a type of scarring and the sun will darken them.
- HYDRATION is always a good idea. Stretch marks occur as connective tissue fibers tear and H2O keeps skin pliable.
- TIME will always fade stretch marks so if nothing else helps, just wait it out and within a year you’ll see a big improvement.
